I have many hours under my belt using precision instruments and this set of calipers is far from professional. You get what you pay for. One of the things that bug me the most is the different size font for the readout. Inches and tens are large then tenths and on are half the size. You have to be careful when reading. One nice thing about them is the auto power on and off. As soon as you touch them they turn on and turn off after a minute or two of non use. We needed an affordable set of 12" calipers and that's what we got. Again you get what you pay for. They do get the job done. But these do not belong in a production atmosphere.
